Anna Geniushene

Anna Geniushene made a powerful impression as silver medalist at the 2022 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Her performances earned praised for their depth, originality, and commanding presence.

Following the competition, Musical America named her Young Artist of the Month in July 2022, and she graced the cover of Pianist magazine in June 2023. Prestigious invitations soon followed, confirming her growing influence on the international stage.

Ms Geniushene is the 2026-27 artist-in-residence with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. She also continues to regularly perform with the Bowers Program of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, where she features on their roster for 2024–2027.

Also an enthusiastic teacher, she actively teaches masterclasses and adjudicates competitions.

Born in Moscow in 1991, she made her recital debut just seven years later in a small hall of the Berlin Philharmonic. She graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2015 and completed her master’s with distinction and advanced diploma in 2018 from the Royal Academy of Music in London.

She has developed a diverse and versatile career as an artist: performances in major venues throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia; appearances with famed conductors; and a dedication to chamber music.

Violin

Gary Levinson

Gary Levinson is the senior principal associate concertmaster of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the artistic director of the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth. Born in St. Petersburg, he began studying the violin at the age of 5 at the Leningrad Special Music School.

He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1977, and he began winning top prizes at international competitions. Known for his Bel Canto playing style and adroit technique, Mr. Levinson made his New York Philharmonic solo debut in 1991, coinciding with the completion of his master’s degree at The Julliard School.

Much sought-after as a chamber musician, he has collaborated with Yo-Yo Ma, Lynn Harrell, and Eugenia Zuckerman. He has recorded several CDs, including a bass and violin duo – performed with his father, renowned double bassist Eugene Levinson – written for and dedicated to the father-and-son team.

Gary Levinson travels and performs year round all over the globe, including to summer music festivals. He also mentors young musicians through the CMSFW2 emerging artist program.

Bion Tsang

Cello

Bion Tsang

Born in Michigan of Chinese parents, Bion Tsang began studying piano when he was 6 years old then cello at age 7. The following year, he entered The Juilliard School. He debuted with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra when he was 11. As a teenager, he was the youngest cellist to earn the Artists International Award and the VIII International Tchaikovsky Competition.

He received his Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University and his Master of Musical Arts from Yale University.

Mr. Tsang is a chamber musician and soloist of international acclaim. As a chamber musician, he has collaborated with notable artists and has frequently performed with the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth, Boston Chamber Music Society, Camerata Pacifica of Los Angeles, and Bargemusic in New York. He has performed as a soloist for orchestras in New York, Hong Kong, Mexico City, and Moscow.

He received a Grammy nomination for the PBS music special A Company of Voices: Consprirare in Concert and was featured on the award-winning PBS documentary Recapturing Cuba: An Artist’s Journey.

Mr. Tsang is the Division Head of Strings at the University of Texas’ Butler School of Music.
